Reverend. We are all looking forward to your safe return to the flock. The movie in your absence has somewhat filled the void that you have left. Loved it! Nothing like a good kung fu flick to get your blood pumping. The subliminal frog flashing scene was excellent, and it was great to see where the Monty Python “I’m not dead yet” routine came from. The best part of the whole thing, though, is the line, “The only way to defeat the demon is with a poisonous fuh.” Oops, I hope I didn’t give anything away.

Glad you enjoyed it Andy! I’m finished with my work down at the Learnstitute, now I’m just waiting for a stray atomic explosion to shatter the Crimson Executioners phantom zone coffin so I can escape and return to the glory of our yellow sun to once again gain my super powers!

Excellent offering as always Reverend.
Perhaps I was just unable to follow the intricacies of this high brow film, but which one was the guy with the secret kung fu? Old Man Frog?

IF this had worse dubbing and better rewrites, it could give “What’s up Tiger Lily” a run for its egg-salad (which was about as much in evidence there as the ’secret kung-fu’ was here). And I know that much of the soundtrack had to be stolen from maybe Harold Faltenmeyer, but certainly Tangerine Dream’s first Virgin album, and the foley track must be using the effects reel from the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns because their flying fists sound just like Clint Eastwood’s gunshots. Not much of a denoument to wrap it up but they sure look ready for the sequel.
You know, Rev, something that’s missing from the Cult altar is a loop antenna. I mean, really: how are you supposed to pull in all the channels from 14 to 85 without that?
Unless its prayer…

Just bought this DVD for $1 at Wal-Mart. ONE DOLLAR! When I opened up the case, it smelled like old maple syrup and pure evil. And that’s what this movie is: Evil in a DVD case.
